Sensepoint XCD Transmitter with Sensor 

Flammable, toxic and Oxygen, 3 wire loop powered 4-20mA gas transmitter with integral gas concentration display.

The Sensepoint XCD range provides comprehensive monitoring of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas hazards in potentially explosive atmospheres, both indoors and outdoors. Users can modify detector operation using the LCD and magnet switches without ever needing to open the unit. This enables one-man, non-intrusive operation and reduces routine maintenance time and cost.

A tri-colour backlit LCD clearly indicates the unit’s status at a glance, even from a distance. A steady green backlight indicates normal operation, flashing yellow indicates fault and flashing red indicates an alarm.All detectors are supplied pre-configured  and include 2 programmable alarm relays, 1 programmable fault relay as well as an industry standard 4-20mA output (sink or source selectable) and MODBUS*. The scale, range, relay operation, alarm set point and electronic tag number of the detector can be adjusted using the transmitter's LCD and non-intrusive magnetic switches. Outputs are automatically inhibited during adjustment, thereby reducing the risk of false alarm at the control panel during maintenance.

The addition of HART® to this device enables sites using a 4-20mA output to gain value-added functionality without any additional infrastructural wiring costs, because HART® works by superimposing a digital signal on an existing 4-20 mA cable, meaning that no additional cabling is required.

Sensepoint Flammable and Toxic Gas Detector 

ATEX certified flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas detectors offering a low cost solution to hazardous area monitoring.

The Sensepoint range of flammable, toxic and Oxygen gas detectors offer users a low cost solution to their gas monitoring needs, in or out of doors and even in potentially explosive atmospheres. Supplied with a pre-wired junction box, a detector can be installed using conduit or armored cable and glands depending on individual site standards.

Sensepoint flammable and toxic gas detectors are designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and allow for hands free, unhindered access, to terminals via the hinged lid of the junction box. Installation should follow national guidelines using suitably approved armored cable and glands or conduit.

 

Series 3000 Mkll and Mklll Transmitters with Sensors 

The Series 3000 range of transmitters provide comprehensive monitoring of toxic and Oxygen gas hazards in potentially explosive atmospheres. Suitable for mounting both indoors and out, they are available in two versions and offer excellent versatility. 

The MkII is contained in a flameproof housing, has an intrinsically safe sensor connection and is for use in predominantly Zone 1 applications. However with the use of the optional remote mounting kit the sensor of the MkII can be mounted in a Zone 0 environment. The MkIII is for use with a separate suitable IS barrier allowing the complete transmitter to be used in Zone 0 applications.

These low powered gas detectors all feature a loop powered 4-20 mA connection, making them ideal for both new and retrofit installations. Users can configure the detector through the use of the easy to read LCD and intuitive interface while fault diagnostic software and a programmable calibration period greatly simplify maintenance procedures.

The intrinsically safe smart sensors are supplied pre-configured and can be ‘hot swapped’ without having to remove power to the detector, saving time and money during commissioning and routine servicing. A remote sensor mounting kit is available that allows the sensor to be mounted up to 15m (50ft) from the transmitter, making it ideal for operation in areas that are difficult to access.

Toxic detector for use in areas subject to explosive atmospheres.

The Sat-Ex gas detection unit provides the ideal solution for monitoring corrosive, combustible, and toxic gases in areas subject to explosive atmospheres. The unit is approved according to ATEX classification  EX II 2 G EEx d ib II C T4 for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2. A UL approval (UL Class 1, Div 1, Group B, C, D) is pending.

As the Sat-Ex unit can be combined with the whole range of Honeywell Analytics’ intelligent sensors, the full repertory of their features  and capabilities is now available for use in explosive atmospheres.

The large LCD screen of the Sat-Ex unit displays gas concentration and alarm condition. Monitoring, maintenance functions, individual configuration and calibration  settings can be chosen from a range of programme menus.A change of the control parameters does not interrupt any of the processes monitored.
 

Satellite XT Transmitter with Sensor

The Satellite XT is the simple solution for all “Point-of-Use” gas detection needs. Based upon the market’s smallest and most reliable electrochemical cell technology, the  Satellite XT offers flexibility, simplicity and ease of application. The Satellite XT can be purchased in either an analogue or digital configuration, allowing it to interface with new or existing facility control technologies.

The digital Satellite XT is built on LonWorks® technology. Life safety systems built on a LonWorks® network platform allow users to leverage the cost efficiencies of distributed controls, while maintaining the integrity and reliability necessary for code compliant  safety applications.

The Satellite XT is an intelligent gas detection transmitter which utilises a unique electrochemical sensor to detect toxic, corrosive, and combustible gas. The Satellite XT is a “Point-of-Use” monitor normally located at or near a potential source of gas release. Field accessories allow sampling options for various environments including in–situ duct detection and extractive designs for harsh or remote areas. Typical installations for gas detection sampling include gas cabinet exhaust ducting, valve manifold boxes, equipment enclosures and ambient breathing zones.

Each digital Satellite XT transmitter bears a unique address for use on a LonWorks® network. This feature allows it to participate in a community of other intelligent LonWorks® devices, which when considered together, comprise a life safety system network.  Gas concentration and alarm information are both displayed locally at the Satellite XT, as  well as distributed onto the LonWorks®  network for use by other field devices.  The Satellite XT provides complete programmability of all monitoring variables including gas type, alarm levels, and maintenance status.
